We are seeking an experienced estimator to join our team in Manukau City. Do you want to work for a leading, independent company that speclialises in the manufacture of wall frames and roof trusses? The primary focus of this position is to compile estimates and quotes from residential house plans for home owners, builders and developers. You will also need to:

• Be a practical thinker
• Have good, sound residential construction knowledge
• Have a complete understanding of NZ Building Code NZ3604 and its application
• Have a sound grasp of the English language – both spoken and written
• Possess strong computer skills
• Have attention to detail
• Have a stable work history

Fork, Driver, Customer Service Yard Person

We are growing and our Manukau City based company has a vacancy for a competent, well presented and motivated individual who has experience in driving trucks, operating a forklift and who will assist our yard staff in pulling timber orders in busy times.

At Wiri Timber we specialise in the manufacture of residential wall frames and roof trusses as well as operating a timber yard, which is open to the trade and public. As a result this role, is for a utility player, where you will be required to assist in many areas of the business.

Based outdoors, you must be willing to work rain or shine, you must be able to lift and stack timber manually and have the confidence to serve & assist customers in our yard and on site with deliveries.

Assistance unloading and loading our fleet of vehicles and incoming truck & trailers with stock would also be required. As a result you must have a fork license and have experience operating a 4 tonne + fork.

Operating our new tip truck to deliver material to customer sites will also be required. Therefore, you must have a class 2 license be well presented, have a good grasp of the English language both verbal and written and have a clean license.

We are looking for someone with experience in selling building supplies, in particular residential pre-nailed wall frames and roof trusses. This person would need to be an organised, honest individual who aggressively seeks out opportunities and has the personality, drive & motivation to becoming an integral part of our sales team.

This position requires that you have the ability to seek out and develop new customers. You would need to be focused on:

• Customer service, pricing, new product introductions and technical service.
• Maintaining and developing existing accounts as well as aggressively hunting for new opportunities.
